WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO: LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL!!!
I've been on the road for about close to 8 or 9 hours so I should probably be resting or sleeping but true to my form I'm not. I will be probably lay it down in about 30 mins as I type away on this laptop keyboard. I know I post everyday or almost every couple of days and normally my blog is about new music, new video or latest music news going on but I'm gonna break away from that for a little bit. Hopefully, I have built a connection with a lot of readers of this blog as well as my followers on Twitter. Shouts to everyone who has supported and showed me love.
Recently, I have lost a love one due to cancer. My uncle who leaves behind a caring and supportive wife and children. My other uncle passed away a couple years of ago prior to me forming this blog and as well as the Wayne Royale's Mixxcity Radio internet radio podcasts. This past weekend, I took time to reflect on how my uncle lived his life. It was what I call a "bittersweet" time. What I mean by this that it's a good time and bad time. I'm not here to whin, grief and express regrets.
I want to urge everyone checking out this blog to believe in God first (it don't matter what religion you are), care for family and live life. I went to a memorial service for my late uncle. The memorial service was different from a traditional funeral as it stressed to celebrate as well as live a life worth remembering. We are born into this world and we leave this world so seriously considered what you do in between.
As for me, I'm gonna continue to work hard, soldier on, and go hard in everything I do. This is what any of my family member would want. I hope I can accomplish everything I want. I urge that everyone does the same and remember to always stay humble and don't rest on one accomplishment. Well, here was a blog to get a little personal with me. I would like to thank everyone who has truly been there for me. As we begin this October month, I'll continue to go hard. Make sure you check me out on Myspace, Facebook and Twitter.
Thank You All...Peace and Love,
Wayne Royale

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO PRESENTS NEW R&B/HIP-HOP ARTIST & SONGWRITER, CORTE ELLIS! AND VA...HE GOT NEXT!!!
For Portsmouth, VA native Corte Ellis, the gift of music revealed itself almost as early as he was able to speak, his mother would say. Her first memory of his attempts to sing goes back to the age of two. He was, after all, the son of two singers, the offspring of a family of musicians. By elementary school, Corte was sharing his gift with the world, thanks to his involvement with his church choir and his participation in school plays. By junior high school, he was ready to start working. Corte was recruited by four classmates to become one of the lead singers of their R&B group New Image. Motivated by a desire to do more than sing songs already popularized by other artists, Corte started writing original music for his crew. And thus began the symbiotic relationship between his aspirations as a singer and his career as a songwriter. While his group members didn’t share his commitment, Corte soon realized that music offered him something he had searched for his whole life. As the youngest of three boys, with three younger sisters behind him, he was constantly seeking a better life for his family. Like many youngsters of his generation, he was, of course, faced with the temptation of relying on the streets. And while he did fall pray for short bouts of time, he learned from the errors of others that the street life offered more perils than hope. With an undeniable talent, Corte found many in his community willing to support his desire to succeed in music. Soon after graduating high school a talent competition at a local nightclub turned into Corte’s first taste of statewide exposure. Under the tutelage of the club’s owner, Monte Marshall, he recorded his first independent album, even garnering regional airplay with the song “Independent Woman.” His growing reputation led to an apprenticeship of sorts with producer Will Skillz, who would teach Corte the art of creating a record. And that relationship would become the foundation of his successful partnership with New Jersey-based production duo the Soul Diggaz. Since their first major label placement with the song “Penny Candy,” for RCA recording group Strong, the trio has enjoyed continuous success. Despite the ups-and-downs of the recording industry, their incredible talent and impeccably maintained relationships have allowed them to work with R&B heavyweights like Britney Spears, Beyonce, Fantasia, and Monica with Corte crafting the lyrics while the Soul Diggaz created the beats. He was also the man responsible for several Bad Boy Records hits, including Cheri Dennis’ “Portrait of Love,” and Donnie Klang’s “Take You There,” featuring Diddy. A mentorship of sorts with music great Clive Davis also gave him the opportunity to create the hit single “Love Story” for American Idol alum Katherine McPhee. Still, Corte kept his goal of succeeding as a performer and recording artist in his own rights in sight. His career as a songwriter, which allowed him the opportunity to learn from some of the biggest and best names in the game would soon prove to be the greatest foundation of all.
Today, Corte Ellis is preparing the summer 2009 of his as-yet untitled SRC/Universal Records debut. While he is excited to finally have the opportunity to be the voice that will bring his words to the world, he realizes what his previous successes will mean to his future as an artist. He has already learned how to connect with his audience verbally. His life experiences also allow Corte to bring a different perspective to the male R&B arena, that of a self-professed Street Gentleman. He learned the basics from such fellow Virginia talents as Teddy Riley and Missy Elliot. He learned the art of telling a story through lyric and melody from the great Clive Davis. He picked up the skill of offering fans relatable, catchy tunes from Diddy. And from singer/songwriter, and new American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, he learned the idiosyncrasies of Pop music.
United under the gift Corte Ellis has spent a lifetime developing, this skill set promises a legion of future fans the kind of R&B redefinition only seen once or twice in each generation.

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO PRESENTS PRESENTS THE RETURN OF THE DAME...HOT NEW ARTIST HEDONIS DA AMAZON!
It was the legendary Marilyn Monroe who was quoted for saying, “I don’t mind living in a man’s world, as long as I can be a woman in it.” But does that slogan still apply when the man’s world happens to be the world of entertainment? Well yes and no. If you’re willing to come in as a female and bare your goodies for everybody that has a working set of eyes, then the door is always open.
But if you’re reluctant to spread eagle on the “casting couch,” your road to glory might be filled with more detours than the average construction site. In other words, if you stay ‘true,’ it might take a little longer, but putting your body in compromising situations is more likely lead to a step ahead of the competition (especially with pornography market making billions in revenue).
Over 41 million albums sold, 11 Grammy Awards, 11 Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards, and, 14 NAACP Image Awards apparently weren’t enough for some Alicia Keys’ followers who were more concerned about when she was going to stop hiding behind the piano, and wear more A-Symmetrical clothing so they could see her figure. But on the other hand, females like tennis player Anna Kournikova, who hass never won a singles title, manages to stay in the same breath with those who have just because of her barely-there clothing.
So there in lies the great debate or dilemma if you will, whether to bare Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames. it all with the equivalent of dental floss running through your derrière, or whether to keep covered-up as if you’re waiting for the next blizzard to sweep through your town. The key is knowing how to balance them both out, being smart and sexy. Because in today’s world of cover girls, top models, and desperate housewives who can pass for 25, the odds are men will more concentrated on seeing you in a Victoria’s Secret catalog rather than being impressed by you having a budget plan on-hand to help reduce the nation’s deficit. And if you have plans to make it big in Hip-Hop as a female, your chances might be even slimmer than Nicole Richie before she got pregnant.
In the land of “b**ches and hoes” (according to Bill O’Reilly and associates) African-American females are constantly degraded in music videos by being paraded around like someone’s property all while they’re scantly dressed. Some would argue that they have a choice in whether or not to be involved in such a production; which is very true. There isn’t any one on street corner grabbing these ladies by gunpoint, and hoarding them into van, and dropping them off at shady video music set forcing them to wear a size 4 two-piece when they clearly need a size 8.
They do have a choice in the matter, but some see that as a “quick fix” if you will, or short cut to the top; “Okay maybe if I just walk around a few more times in these 5 inch stiletto heels and nothing else, I’ll get my big break.” For some the “the big break” never comes, and those same stiletto heels that had so much promise on those video shoots, casting couches, and tour buses are now used for their dance routines at strip clubs.
Janella Dobbs AKA Hedonis da Amazon happens to be one of those females that doesn’t believe in the famed quick road to stardom. Not since the classic days of Bahamadia’s “Total Wreck” and “Uknowhowwedu,” or Eve’s “vicious pit bull in a skirt” era has the city of Philly felt the affects of female MC in their midst. But this Philly chick has more than just the “City Of Brotherly Love” in her cross hairs. With a body that mirrors any women that was in Nelly’s 'Tip Drill' or 50 Cent’s 'Disco Inferno' videos (the unrated versions of course) you might be more willing to ask her what topless bar she works at as opposed to when is her next mixtape coming out.
When God created this voluptuous, 5’11,” thick-thighed, full-lipped Asian-eyed beauty, he also gave her the ability to connect words, turn them into 48 bars, and add a hook in between every even number of them. So those who still want to throw money at her still can, it just won’t be down in her G-String, it’ll be at the cash register when you buy her album at your local music store.
After catching the attention of Hot 97’s Kay Slay with a flow that rivals the sounds of a woman scorned, she’s been able to bring her aggressive and emotional-filled content to a wider audience all by…. Come on lets say it together: “BY KEEPING HER CLOTHES ON!” That’s right boys and girls! She’s been able to achieve this by not humiliating herself in the process. So after you’ve read this one-on-one, don’t bother looking for any naked pictures of her on the Internet, because the only search results you’ll come up with will be YouTube videos of her rhyming her ass off as if the end of the world was near, and of course her Myspace page.

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO PRESENTS NEW HIP-HOP ARTIST, PINNEY WOODS!
Mobb, born Travis Moore in Huntsville, Alabama, and relocating to Chattanooga in 1992, honed his smooth vocal skills by singing R&B in the hallways of Howard High.
Ironically, his unlikely partner, Brikk, born Robert Brown, was there at the same time--rapping down those same halls. Though Mobb would later give props to Brikk for his flow, Brikk was far more interested in “getting money” by that time. Fate did not see fit for this remarkable pair to set it off just yet.
Plagued with the demons of substance and child abuse in their respective homes, the two would embark on very separate journeys. While Mobb was in the Marines in Hawaii recording his raps in dorms and handing out tapes on base, Brikk was at home in Chattanooga reppin’ the street life in the drug game.
Upon Mobb’s return home, the two were invited to the same house party where Brikk heard Mobb free styling along with the radio. Amazed by the Mobb’s skills, he and Brikk became roommates and began writing together, but continued to focus on their own solo projects. In fact, Mobb found success writing for other artists such as the hit “Sick and Tired” for Nappy Roots.
Mobb’s ability to write hooks, rap and even sing them makes him a hot commodity while Brikk brings his street cred to his lyrics and solid vocals. The pair is undeniable. Fate had finally decided that it was time.
Realizing that together they were even hotter, they formed their first group called P-Dubb. By chance, Brikk’s cousin, Bone Dry, took them to a local record label called Block Life where they were signed to a deal and shelved. When this venture failed, in 2001 they signed to World Affiliated Records in Atlanta, GA, and were unfortunately shelved a second time. After two years at that label without a release, they left to go it alone and recorded their own album.
With this project in tow, the duo encountered Vincent Brookins of Vinceddie Management, who was A&R for Black Ice Recording/Universal, based in Richmond, CA, while performing at a party at the local Elks Club. Brookins loved it and a new deal was offered. At a time when everyone was attempting to emulate Tupac or Master P, Mobb and Brikk developed their sound from the streets of Pinney Woods. “[It’s about] how we felt, and what we were going through…no disrespect to Pac, but we were just trying to be P-Dubb,” the duo says of their unique sound.
They dropped P-Dubb and adopted their current name from the hood where they got money, Pinney Woods. Now Pinney Woods is willing to do whatever it takes to make good music—be it R&B, Rap, Alternative or even Black Rock; they are determined to make songs that are both hot and relevant to the times.
The duo has performed with Outkast, 8 Ball & MJG, Young Bloodz, and the group New Beginnings featuring Usher, a Chattanooga native, to name a few. Though they shifted their money-making hustle from the streets to the clubs, and went from trappin' on the same street, to sharing the stage, it’s still about the money. As Pinney Woods would say, “In God We Trust, everyone else pay cash.”

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO PRESENTS NEW HIP-HOP ARTIST, BENISOUR!
In an era where music aficionados are bombarded with a myriad of artistic choices, finding a genuine artist with exceptional talent and raw energy has become an overwhelming task. With a haunting swagger and ability to depict a story so vividly, N Music recording artist Benisour Tha Don is the latest rap giant to leap out of the Florida ,ready to detonate his musical prowess and lyrical mastery onto the world.
Born Troy Benisour (pronounced BEN-I-SWA) Paul, the 27-year-old only child of a Trinidadian mother and Grenadian father was raised throughout the U.S., including on the culturally rich island of Puerto Rico. Settling in Miami by the age of four, Benisour quickly adapted to his new surroundings, which greatly influenced not only his outlook on life, but musical tastes that have shaped his sound today. Drawing inspiration from W.E.B. Dubois, Bob Marley, Curtis Mayfield, and LL Cool J. to name a few, Benisour has created a style uniquely his own, all the while sharing his experiences of life on the streets with anyone will listen.
Growing up in the streets of Miami is a far cry from the picture perfect image of sunny days at the beach. Benisour witnessed and experienced his share of tragedies on those dark streets. It took losing a family member to really open his eyes to bloodshed going on around him. "It makes you appreciate life and how serious it is when people aren't there anymore" says Benisour about that experience. "All you can do is understand and respect God's power. Sometimes the odds are not in your favor, but you can come out of it."
From a young age Benisour was drawn to the gritty and urban appeal of the flourishing hip-hop culture. He cites many people from his neighborhood whom encouraged him to pursue hip-hop, but it was his own appetite for the culture that led him down the path he currently finds himself on today. It was his mission to prove to the world that Miami had talent since at the time all Miami was really known for was Two Live Crew and Booty Bass music. "When I first started recording, the music of the time was much different. I wanted to show love to those who put me on by offering a new style of my own and prove how versitle Miami is."
Benisour has been hard at work writing music and recording with some of hip-hop's best artists including the Nappy Roots who took him under their wing and showed him the ropes while they were platinum-recording artists. Additionally, he's collaborated with reggae greats like Mr. Vegas and Junior Reid, as well as Roca-Fella artist Freeway. Always looking to push the envelop musically and creatively while giving his fans something they can really move to, Benisour is confident his style will quickly catch on.
And the hip-hop world is already paying attention. He's been featured on the cover of The South's number one hip-hop magazine--- Ozone, featured artist in 305 Magazine and an exclusive interview with MTV's Sway (The Wake-Up Show).Benisour is just getting warmed up. He recently recorded the sleeper hit "Shining" with legendary Reggae artist Junior Reid and is currently in the studio working on his debut album which is slated to drop later in the year. "Be ready to hear some 'Benisour Music'. I'm coming in with different aspects and perspectives of music into one solid album. I love theme music, but sometimes you feel cheated out that way. Its taken some time to build this together, but when it drops you'll know why I'm considered a solidified artist. "
