Swayze, best known for starring in the blockbuster films "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," sais he was diagnosed with cancer in January 2008.
His last television interview was in December 2008 with ABC News' Barbara Walters.
Swayze spoke candidly to Walters about his prognosis and vowed to fight his cancer and "keep my heart and my soul and my spirit open to miracles."
"One thing I'm not gonna do is chase staying alive," Swayze said. "You spend so much time chasing staying alive, you won't live."
WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO PRESENTS NEW TRAILER TO MICHAEL JACKSON- THIS IS IT!

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO: MTV 2009 VMA RECAP!
MTV turned New York City inside out for the "2009 Video Music Awards" as the network celebrated a legend and brought together the biggest names in music, TV, film and sports. Live from Radio City Music Hall, VMA icon Madonna opened the show and introduced the emotional and heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson was joined onstage by the most renowned choreographers in the world and Michael's tour dancers, all of whom were influenced by the "King of Pop," for a memorable and high energy performance. To honor her brother and his illustrious career, the dancers recreated some of his most memorable music videos including "Thriller," "Bad," "Smooth Criminal" and "Scream." The celebration received a standing ovation and set the tone for the most important evening in music and pop culture.
Always controversial, British comedian Russell Brand pushed the envelope as he had fun with a slew of new stars and charmed the ladies. Aerosmith's Joe Perry and popstar Katy Perry helped Russell kick-off his hosting duties in a big way with a light infused performance of the classic rock anthem by Queen, "We Will Rock You."
Young country-pop superstar Taylor Swift earned "Best Female Video" for "You Belong With Me" in one of the most competitive categories of the evening, causing Kanye West to storm the stage in protest of Beyonce not winning. In a gracious act, Beyonce later called Taylor back on stage to rightfully accept her award. Beyonce did win an outstanding three moonmen including the coveted "Video of the Year" award for her viral video sensation "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)." Also landing three statues was Lady Gaga including "Best New Artist" for her hit single "Poker Face." Green Day made a triumphant return to the VMAs by claiming three awards including "Best Rock Video" for "21 Guns." Eminem walked away victorious in an extremely heated race for "Best Hip Hop Video" with "We Made You."
Adding to her collection of moonmen and accepting her award via satellite while on tour, Britney Spears won "Best Pop Video" for "Womanizer." After officially premiering at last year's show, T.I. and Rihanna won "Best Male Video" for their multi-platinum song "Live Your Life."
Eminem once again showcased his comedic chops teaming up with Tracy Morgan and featuring a cameo by Cyndi Lauper to present the "Best New Artist" nominees throughout the show.
Drawing on the musical energy and passion of New York City, MTV used the city as a backdrop to showcase the unprecedented and groundbreaking performances from today's most popular artists. Making her first VMA performance a standout, Taylor Swift sang a never-before-heard version of her single "You Belong With Me." Taylor fully incorporated all NYC has to offer by transitioning from a subway car to 6th Avenue surrounded by fans and ending her performance on top of a taxi cab.
Known for her over the top live performances and fashion forward style, Lady Gaga turned a childhood dream into a reality as she made her grand entrance into VMA history. During her unforgettable performance of "Paparazzi," the international superstar gives her own interpretation on the price of fame which culminates with her levitating into the air.
Surrounded by pyro and using every corner of the VMA stage, fan favorite Green Day made an explosive return to the VMA stage by giving a high energy rock performance of their single "East Jesus Nowhere."
Beyonce had all of Radio City dancing to "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" with her call and response to the audience as she translated her music video phenomenon to the live stage. The pop diva was backed by an army of dancers as they displayed their incomparable dance moves during her performance.
Already a household name across the pond, British rockers Muse gave a breakthrough performance expanding their fan base worldwide. The band performed their latest single "Uprising" from a live remote at the Walter Kerr Theater in the Broadway district of Manhattan in front of hundreds of screaming fans.
Determined to top herself and once again raise the bar for live performances, P!nk mastered a jaw-dropping aerial act 30 feet above the stage while performing her single "Sober." And yes, she sang every single word of it.
Bringing the show to a climactic end, JAY-Z and Alicia Keys honored their hometown of New York as they gave a powerful performance of "Empire State of Mind."
As the official VMA house band, hip-hop's newest challenger Wale and the legendary go go band UCB hyped up the audience as they put their own unique spin on some of the biggest songs of the year, his own material and a few classic covers. They collaborated with a number of artists including Kid Cudi with "Day And Night," The All-American Rejects with "Gives You Hell," Pitbull with "You Know You Want Me" and 3OH!3 with "Don't Trust Me". Kid Cudi honored DJ AM during his performance of "Make Her Say."
The star studded show also included appearances by Megan Fox, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Jack Black, Andy Samberg, Kristin Cavallari, Pete Wentz, Gerard Butler, Diddy, Tracy Morgan, Adam Brody, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Alexa Chung, Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship and Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, Miranda Cosgrove and Serena Williams.
The MTV audience was treated to exclusive first looks at fall's most anticipated films and soundtracks including Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT and The Twilight Saga: New Moon trailers during the show. Viewers were also given a sneak peek at the latest trailer from the upcoming movie Fame during MTV News' "2009 VMA Preshow."

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO: JAY-Z VS. T-PAIN...DID D.O.A. RUB PEOPLE THE WRONG WAY?!
IN CASE IF YOU MISSED I EXPLAIN AND RE-CAP THE ENTIRE BEEF SURROUNDING THE SITUATION!
Jay-Z caused a stir within the music industry when he released his first single to Blueprint 3, "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-tune)" which declared a death to the trend that was starting to become common place in this current era of Hip-Hop. It seems that he would indeed offend his political connects. Such connects would be perceived to be fellow Roc-Nation artist Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, and T-Pain. While Kanye's rhyming has went back to a regular rap flow after releasing 808's and Heartbreaks earlier this year. And an alleged beef brewing between Ye' and Jigga, it seems like everything would be cool between Jay-Z and Yeezy since Kanye was going to the executive producer of Blueprint 3. There were no comments from Lil Wayne or Snoop who experimented using auto-tune. With Lil Wayne and Kanye being the only two rappers that were permitted by T-Pain to use auto-tune.
Earlier this year, T-Pain came out with his Three Rings album where he had a song featuring DJ Khaled called "Karaoke" where T-Pain abandons the auto-tune and disses other rappers using the style in their music. It was even rumored or said that T-Pain was considering giving up auto-tune next album.
Recently, T-Pain was performing in Las Vegas and he dissed Jay-Z in between sets of performing "Blame It", "Kiss, Kiss" and performing to a few other songs.
According to a report on MTV.com, "Just a day after it was reported that T-Pain dissed Jay-Z while DJing in Las Vegas, he's changed his (Auto-) tune and said there's no beef between him and the Brooklyn rapper.
T-Pain's about-face stems from not only from a recent conversation he said he and Jay had, but also from a radio interview Hov gave on Tuesday, where he responded to T-Pain's taunts and said that his song "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)" wasn't about Pain. T-Pain said it was the first time he heard Hov explicitly say that.
"Every time I saw his interviews, he just said, 'T-Pain is a talented dude,' " Pain told New York radio station Power 105's Ed Lover Wednesday morning (September 9). "But I will say the interview he did yesterday" — in which Jay said, "I made it very clear I wasn't talking about him" — "that made me feel better."
T-Pain said his issue with Jay-Z stemmed from the two's appearance onstage at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert in New Jersey in June. T-Pain joined Jay-Z during his performance of "D.O.A." just days after the rapper premiered the track. In the song, Jay-Z jabs at artists who have been relying on Auto-Tune too much for their vocals; he absolved Lil Wayne and Kanye West from his complaint, but wasn't quite as vocal in defending T-Pain, who played a major role in bringing the vocal-enhancing device into the pop consciousness.
T-Pain said he was a fan of the song from the onset, and said he even reached out Jay-Z to join him onstage during Summer Jam. But Jay-Z told him he was overseas in Switzerland, he said, and wouldn't be able to make it.
When Jay-Z did make a surprise appearance at Summer Jam, T-Pain said he was shocked. Hov went onstage with Young Jeezy; T-Pain said he joined the pair onstage at the recommendation of one of Jay-Z's associates. Afterward, though, according to T-Pain, Jay-Z snubbed him.
"I'm ready to go on stage after Jeezy's set and [the concert organizers] said, 'Hold on, Jay-Z is about to come out with Jeezy,' and I said, 'Well, Jay-Z is in Switzerland.' They say, 'No he's not, he's right there,' and I look and there's Jay-Z. So he gets on the stage and when he gets to the part [on 'D.O.A.'] where he says, 'I don't need anyone smiling at this,' he pointed at me. And then at the end of the song, when I tried to shake his hand, he turned around and said 'Good riddance.' "
For the past two months, T-Pain said he was trying to contact Jay-Z about whether he was being attacked on the song. He said during his own shows, audience members would shout, "You're finished!" at him and throw up Jay-Z's Roc diamond hand signal. When he couldn't get hold of the rapper to clarify the situation, he decided to lash out.
The Vegas gig was the first time most fans heard about the situation, since Fabolous tweeted about it. Fabolous then started an anti-T-Pain crusade on Twitter on Tuesday after an imposter T-Pain account called him out, but once Fab realized it was a fake, he backtracked.
T-Pain said he's spoken with Fab and the two have patched things up.
"I feel a lot better," T-Pain said. "Neither me nor Jay-Z have time to go through this beef crap. I'm a fan of Jay-Z, I'mma always be a fan of Jay-Z. Me and Fab talked today. He apologized and said it was stupid on his part."
Now, the beef has official been deaded. On a personal note, I'm glad and proud of both Jay-Z, Fabolous and T-Pain that they were able to address the issue and clear up. They all handled the situation like men. I agree with there being battles and competition in Hip-Hop but it should always stay on records and not in the streets. People especially in Hip-Hop will always have differences and not see eye to eye but a situation should always be worked out. Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 has hit stores early so make sure you pick up the album from Itunes and your local record stores.

WAYNE ROYALE'S MIXXCITY RADIO: WTF?! DISNEY BUYS OUT MARVEL COMICS...IS THIS SIGNS OF THE END COMING?!
Alright, so a few days ago...I was watching the news report that Disney has brought out Marvel Comics. Marvel is the company behind iconic comic characters such as Spiderman, Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Avengers, Wolverine, X-Men, Punisher, Fantastic Four, & many other superheroes. As with many fans, I'm hoping that Disney does not ruin Marvel by kiddie-izing many of our beloved iconic comic superheroes. I don't know about you guys but we do not need to see Miley Cyrus in the next Wolverine movie or Zack Efron along side Robert Downey, Jr. in Iron Man 2 or the cast of High School Musical teaming up with Spiderman to fight the Green Goblin and Venom. If this happens I may have to give up Marvel Comics and ride with DC Comics with Superman and Batman.
This latest news with Marvel Comics is definitely gonna make me feel funny about purchasing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and seeing Iron Man 2 when it drops. Anyway, in the cause of maintaining journalistic integrity. I will post this following news report about the deal between Disney and Marvel.
Disney's Purchase of Marvel: What Does It Mean for the Fans?
The Walt Disney Co. $4 billion purchase of Marvel Entertainment has lots of complicated ramifications for Marvel's huge stable of characters and their fans. As Variety points out, this puts Disney in the superhero business for the first time, having previously had no contact with the genre other than distributing Pixar's The Incredibles.
Wall Street execs expressed amazement at the price paid, as reported in THR, though Disney thinks huge value can be "unlocked" in underexploited characters and future rights to film distribution and other uses after existing deals lapse.
Mouse Hats on Marvel Heroes?
Fans, meanwhile, expressed their own concerns. The fear here, of course, is that Disney will try to, well, Disnify the Marvel properties: Disney has a reputation for executive meddling. Disney head Robert Iger denies this: "The goal here is not to rebrand Marvel as Disney," Iger said. Marvel CEO Isaac Perlmutter and Marvel Studios exec Avi Arad will remain in place.
Any of the previous motion picture deals Marvel made with other studios will remain intact, at least until they expire. (Currently major Marvel franchises are farmed out to several different studios: Spider-Man at Columbia/Sony, Iron Man and other Avengers at Paramount, X-Men at Fox, and so on.) New franchises, and franchises continuing beyond existing deals, will likely be under the Disney/Marvel name.
Some deals will remain intact: Spider-Man's deal at Sony, for example, is open-ended, with three more films on the way under the Columbia name, and Paramount still has a deal to release five more Marvel films, starting with Iron Man 2.
Lots to Exploit
The deal is easily worth billions for Disney, since they'll be able to exploit Marvel's library of more than 5,000 characters into movies, TV shows, Internet properties, theme park attractions, video games, toys, licensed merchandise and, of course, comic books. (Here again there are limitations: for example, certain characters, including Spider-Man, are licensed to Universal Orlando, and will stay there.) And it's good news for Marvel, which can use Disney's muscle to become a bigger presence outside the U.S.
The deal, says Marvel icon Stan Lee, "gives Disney a library of literally hundreds of unique and colorful characters that have the potential to make great, high-concept movies and long-lasting franchises -- and nobody knows how to play in that ballpark better than Disney."
While Disney's immediate interest is increasing its connection with young and teen boys, the appeal of the Marvel deal is that comic book characters transcend gender and age, appealing to vast markets at home and abroad. (The top 25 movie grossers of all time include four Marvel films: Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, and Iron Man.) Many of Marvel's characters are unexploited, opening up huge potentials for new franchises. (Though, in many cases there's a reason some characters are "unexploited" outside their own comics title.)
Meanwhile, Iger talked up Marvel's branded content strength even in the declining DVD market. "They are not bulletproof," he said. "They are not immune from the changes that we're seeing. But they have established a footing that we think is more solid than what you typically see in the non-branded, non-character driven [movie space]."
Superhero Movie Glut
So what happens when the bottom falls out of the superhero market? It's booming now, but we're still part of a wave that ultimately started with Spider-Man, and that received a boost from Iron Man that was pretty much unexpected. With dozens of DC and Marvel projects on the way in solid packs over the next few years, plus related fare like Transformers, it's only a matter of time before moviegoers experience a temporary bout of genre fatigue, and that could spell big trouble for Disney and DC's Time Warner -- though as corporate monoliths maybe they'll be able to absorb the dip better than Marvel standing on its own.
Here's the slate of DC and Marvel superhero films that's already in the chute for the next several years (and bear in mind, these are just the superhero films related to properties from these two houses):
